CRO Agency for Shopify Brands

Turn more of your traffic
into revenue.

FTRR runs a specialist CRO programme for Shopify brands between £1M and £30M. Structured A/B testing, evidence-led UX audits, and a testing methodology built over 18 years in eCommerce — with a deliberately low entry point so both sides can prove the fit before committing.

Traffic isn't your issue.
Conversion is.

Most growing Shopify brands are leaving significant revenue on the table — not because they need more visitors, but because their store isn't converting the ones they already have.

01

You're scaling spend, not revenue

Ad costs keep rising but CVR stays flat. More budget is masking a conversion problem that compounds over time and quietly erodes your margins.

02

A/B tests go nowhere

You've run a few experiments but they're one-off and disconnected. Without a structured programme, learnings don't accumulate and results don't compound.

03

No one owns the data

GA4, heatmaps, session recordings — it all exists but no one has the time or framework to synthesise it into hypotheses that are actually worth testing.

04

Agencies don't understand Shopify

Generic CRO agencies apply cookie-cutter playbooks that don't account for Shopify's architecture, theme constraints, or the realities of how your checkout actually behaves.

Prove value before you commit.

Most CRO agencies want 6–12 month contracts before they've demonstrated anything. FTRR works differently. The engagement is structured in three phases so you can validate the impact — and we can validate the fit — before either side makes a significant commitment.

Phase 1

Pilot

3–5 weeks · Low entry investment

We run three A/B tests selected from a pre-built hypothesis bank developed specifically for your store. You approve each test before it goes live. No resource required from your team — FTRR handles all design and build.

  • 5 hypotheses prepared in advance — you choose the 3 to run first
  • Full test design, build, and QA by FTRR
  • Client sign-off before anything goes live
  • Results analysis and walkthrough call at close
  • No obligation to continue
Exit point If the pilot doesn't demonstrate meaningful impact, there is no pressure to continue. You keep the data and the learnings.
Phase 2

Three-Month Trial

3 months · Validates sustained fit

If the pilot shows positive results, we move into a structured three-month trial — 2 to 3 new tests per month. By the end of this phase, you have real, post-live performance data rather than projections to justify the ongoing investment.

  • 2–3 tests per month, every month
  • All design and development handled by FTRR
  • Results report and review call per test
  • Winners assessed for full site implementation
  • Growing test library and documented learnings
Exit point After three months you have concrete performance data. If results justify continuing, we move to a full retainer. If not, you exit with a documented library of what works on your store.
Phase 3

Full Retainer

Ongoing · Results-earned commitment

Once the trial has delivered sustained, validated results, we move to a full ongoing retainer. The relationship is built on demonstrated ROI, not a sales pitch.

  • Continuous testing programme, 2–3 tests per month
  • Ongoing funnel analysis and hypothesis refinement
  • Proprietary test library continues to grow
  • Monthly performance review against revenue benchmarks
  • Direct access to Pete throughout
Earned, not assumed The full retainer is offered because the data supports it — not because it was written into an upfront contract.

Why this structure matters — for both sides

A low-commitment pilot de-risks the decision for you, but it also de-risks it for FTRR. Not every brand is ready for a CRO programme — the right traffic volume, the right internal appetite, the right stage of growth all matter. This phased approach means we only move forward when the conditions are right and the early results justify it. That's better for your business, and it's how we protect the integrity of every engagement we take on.

The same rigour across every phase.

Regardless of which phase you're in, the methodology doesn't change. Every test is hypothesis-driven, statistically validated, and documented into your growing test library.

Discovery

Data Audit & Hypothesis Development

Before any test goes live, we build a structured view of where your funnel is leaking — using GA4, session recordings, heatmaps, and your Shopify analytics. Every test begins with a written hypothesis.

  • GA4 and Shopify analytics review
  • Funnel drop-off analysis
  • Hypothesis bank (5+ tests prepared per client)
  • Prioritised test roadmap
Execution

Test Build, QA & Management

Tests are built and run using Shoplift — designed to match your brand identity exactly. Every variant is reviewed and approved by you before going live. FTRR manages the full cycle, end to end.

  • Test design and UX specifications
  • Full build and device QA
  • Client approval before launch
  • Live monitoring throughout
Intelligence

Analysis, Reporting & Test Library

Every test result — win, loss, or inconclusive — is documented and added to your test library. Over time this becomes a proprietary business asset: a record of what works on your specific store, with your specific audience.

  • Statistical significance validation
  • Revenue impact calculation per test
  • Results report and review call
  • Cumulative test library and learnings log
"When we brought Peter on, our main challenge was clear: rising paid ad spend meant we had to squeeze more out of every visitor. Over 11 months, Peter and his team ran 61 systematic A/B tests across our entire customer journey, from homepage to checkout."
  • Revenue up 13%, with 17% less traffic
  • Revenue per visitor increased by 36%
  • Bundle optimisation tests boosted revenue per visitor by 80% (with 92% confidence)
  • Conversion rates up 27%
  • Average order value up 12%
"In an industry where most agencies promise 5 to 10 percent lifts, Peter delivered a 100 to 1 ROI and fundamentally changed how we approach optimisation. We now have a new baseline for performance and a clear path forward."
Adam Bodini VP of Marketing, Edurino

This programme is built for a specific type of brand.

FTRR works best with Shopify brands that are past early-stage growth and ready to build a systematic approach to conversion improvement. The pilot phase is precisely designed to find this out quickly and with minimal investment on either side.

A strong fit if you...

  • Are on Shopify or Shopify Plus with £1M–£30M in annual online revenue
  • Have enough traffic to reach statistical significance on key pages
  • Have tried A/B testing but lack a structured programme to build on
  • Want a senior consultant managing the programme — not a junior account team
  • Are spending on paid traffic and want to improve what that traffic does on site
  • Value evidence and data over redesigns based on gut feel
  • Want to start small, prove value, and scale from there

Probably not the right fit if you...

  • Are pre-revenue or early-stage with low traffic volumes
  • Need a full website redesign as the primary next step
  • Are looking for a large multi-team agency with account managers and creative departments
  • Want fast, high-volume output over rigorous testing methodology
  • Are not on Shopify

The pilot is designed to be the easiest yes you'll make.

A short conversation, a low entry point, and a clear picture of where your biggest conversion opportunities are. No long-term contract required to find out if this works for your business.
